ROUND 12 / AUGUST 7-9, 2026
SILVERSTONE / TOWCESTER, UNITED KINGDOM
ROAD RACE I FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
P58
Di Giannantonio challenged
Ogura for second on lap two, but
the Japanese rider held firm as
Martin established a five-tenths-
of-a-second advantage. Fernan-
dez crashed at turn four while
following
Bezzecchi, promoting
Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Rac-
ing MotoGP) to sixth.
Bezzecchi
soon made his
move on Marc Marquez at
Copse to take fourth, before
Alex Marquez passed his
brother for fifth at Woodcote.
Bezzecchi then began closing
rapidly on Di Giannantonio, cut
-
ting more than a second from
the gap before making
his move
at Copse with four laps remain
-
ing to claim third.
Di Giannantonio
and Marc Mar-
quez both struggled badly with
rear
grip in the closing stages.
79 AI OGURA
2ND/DNF MOTOGP
"The crash was just a small mistake—
a bit more angle with the same
amount of brake pressure, and I
locked the front and crashed," Ogura
said. "It's a shame that I made this
kind of mistake, but after the bad
start, I was making my way to recover
positions, which was quite difficult. I
wasn't really fast enough at that stage
of the race and pushed in the wrong
place, wrong moment. I feel like I
could have done a much better race,
and overall the weekend was good, I
think. I'm not happy with myself be-
cause my approach to the main race
wasn't correct so, a lot to learn from
this weekend, and we keep going."
73 ALEX MARQUEZ
4TH/4TH MOTOGP
"Honestly, we had the pace to fight
for second place with Jorge [Martin]
today," Alex said. "Unfortunately, the
mistake at turn one, which was
entirely my fault, compromised
the race and probably cost us the
podium. In any case, we leave a very
solid weekend behind us. We were
the best Ducati, and my physical
condition continues to improve. Now
we'll keep preparing, as Aragon will
be a completely different story."
MYOWNRACE
Lap two and Fernandez (25) has
laid down the gauntlet already to
Marco Bezzecchi (72), with Martin
(89) trying to make up ground after
his infernal rear ride-height device
was stuck on off the start, all but
ruining his chances of victory.
