P136 August 20, 1986 New Yamaha motocrossers were shown on the cover 40 years ago, featuring the 1987 YZ250 and YZ80... We had coverage of the rainy and muddy AMA 125/500cc National MX Championship from Binghamton, New York. Eddie Warren won the 125cc class and David Bailey the 500cc class... Randy Renfrow won the F-1 class at the AMA Camel Pro Road Race from Mid-Ohio. Fred Merkel won the Superbike race. F-1 class at the AMA Camel Pro Road won the August 14, 1996 We had all things road racing on the cover 30 years ago... Alex Criville won the Austrian Grand Prix... Pier- Francesco Chili and Troy Corser split wins at the Brands Hatch World Superbike... Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga teamed up to win the Suzuka 8-Hour... Andy Tresser won the Peoria TT... Je† Emig, Ryan Hughes and Phil Lawrence made it an all-Kawasaki podium at the Spring Creek National Motocross. August 17, 1976 We featured the Suzuki GS750 on the cover of Cycle News 50 years ago. It was one of Suzuki's first four-stroke production streetbikes, and we went to Helena, Montana, where Suzuki introduced the $2100 bike to the media, and rode it... Steve Stackable won the 500cc National MX at Unadilla; it was his first overall win... We covered the Aqua Fest Road Race held on the streets of Austin, Texas.
