epic battle at Washougal 20 years ago, and a photo
of them was featured on the cover. Stewart came
out on top after Carmichael crashed. Andrew
Short won the Lites class... Chris Carr became
the first flat track double winner of the season at
Hagerstown; it was round eight... In New York,
the U.S. hosted a round of the FIM World Enduro
Championship for the first time. David Knight
won.

Our 2017 BMW R nineT Scrambler test bike was pictured on
the cover 10 years ago... Our featured race coverage was the
35th AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship from the
Loretta Lynn Ranch. Chase Sexton was the AMA Horizon Award
winner. Jordan Bailey won a couple of titles... We ran our part
two interview with Ryan Dungey... We also interviewed up-and-
coming motocrosser Austin Forkner.
