Enduro Championship result-
ed in the GP of USA held in
Hancock, New York being much, more
difficult than the previous week's GP of
Canada. Despite the wet start to the
event, the special tests dried out for day
two and the championship saw some of
the closest racing this season. KTM-
mounted Manxman David Knight domi-
nated the Enduro 3 class and the event
outright, while Enduro 1-class honors
were split between Poland's Bartosz
Oblucki on his Husqvarna and Spaniard
Ivan Cervantes aboard his KTM. Top
honors in the Enduro 2 category went to
KTM- and Honda-mounted Finns Samuli
Aro and Mika Ahola.
The sixth round of the '06 World
Enduro Championship will be remem-
bered for, among other things, being the
wettest WEC event, as a torrential down-
pour drenched the opening day of the GP
