down air fork and a fully adjust-
able WP Xact rear shock, with
8.5 inches of wheel travel at the
front and 10 inches at the rear.
The air "spring," housed in the
left fork leg, allows spring-rate
changes by altering air pressure,
making it easy to tailor the bike
to riders of different weights
without changing coil springs.
For our 9-year-old test rider,
Harvey, he's not yet at the stage
of needing to change the base
settings, but having full adjust
-
ability at both ends is handy
for him, as he'll be able to tailor
the ride to himself better the
faster he goes. Riders of vary
-
ing weights can dial in the fork's
performance with only minor
adjustments, and the unit offers
impressive resistance to bot-
toming without becoming overly
harsh on smaller impacts.
(Right) Give it a touch
of clutch, and if you're
in the powerband,
the Husqvarna will
rocket out of corners.
(Bottom left) The
Corner Coach has been
a constant fixture on
our Husqvarna, helping
ensure ideal body
position for Harvey.
(Bottom right) A beefy
WP Xact 35mm USD air
fork provides excellent
handling and bump
absorption.
