P122 LOOKING BACK July 30, 1986 Ducati's Paso 750 was on the cover 40 years ago along with the winners of the Parkersburg Half Mile and the Unadilla 250cc U.S. GP… Johnny O'Mara ran out of gas on the last lap of the second moto at Unadilla, giving the win to Bob Hannah, who said, "I don't care I won. This win doesn't please me. O'Mara ran me into the ground." July 24, 1996 A photo of winner Alessandro Gramigni leading Larry Pegram and Miguel Duhamel from Brainerd was featured on the cover 30 years ago... We also featured an interview with PACE Motor Sports' Gary Becker and Charlie Mancuso and discussed all things Supercross... Sebastien Tortelli won the 125cc MX Belgian Grand Prix, taking another step toward becoming the youngest MX World Champion ever. July 27, 1976 Sonny Burres from the Castle Rock TT National was featured on the cover of Cycle News 50 years ago, but Chuck Joyner was the winner... We had full coverage of the St. Peters, Missouri, round of the AMA 500cc National Motocross. Factory Honda rider Pierre Karsmakers was the winner... David Emde dominated the WERA Road Race at Ontario Motor Speedway in California... Roger DeCoster won the British MX GP.
