As the Dew Action Sports Tour made its way through Denver, Coloiado, on its second stop, the Right Guard Open, Supercross superstar Ernesto Fonseca decided to flnd out what it was all about. ln his first real appearance at a motortPorts/action sports event since becoming iniured in March, Ernie was greeted with open arms by fans, Dew Tour ath- letes, and various members of the motocross, BMX, and skateboard industries. Everyone was so excited to see him! Ernesto looked great and seemed to enjoy himself. He was in excellent spirits, ioking around with everyone and smiling like he always does. He was accompanied by his wife, Carolina. Despite temperatures hittinS as hi8h as 105 degrees, he attended three days of the four-day event and was able to see several of the comPetitions, such as BMX Oirt finals. BMX Park practice and finals, and BMX Vert practice and finals. Ernie also took the opportunity to chat with many of the athletes, including BMX riders Ryan Nyquist. T.l. Lavin, Dave Mirra and Allan Cooke, FMX riders Nate Adams, Mike Mason and Ronnie Ren- ner, and skateboarder Ryan Sheckler, along with several of the athletes that he was just meeting for the tirst time. He was just amazed at their talent and asked them questions about their sporB and the comPeti- tions. He said he really enioled the Dew Action SPorts Tour events. Lakewise, the athletes were excited to be able to chat with him. He watched the Skate Ven linals and FMX Finals live on NBC from the hosPitalwhere he is staying nearby. Ernesto will be leaving the Denver area at the end ofthe month to head back to his residence in l''lurrieta, California, but not before heading our to check out the MX Nationals race in Lakewood at Thunder Valley the fol- lowing weekend.
