Fortunately, Hanna was able to make the restart, but Schwarrenbacher was sent to the pits for the day. When the race resumed, Jon Goodwin and Alan StaY kept it up front, flnishing second and third, respectivev, Hanna put his pain aside and came out Ior the win on the TT, keeping Bonsey at bay. Rodney Spencer rounded out the podium. Bonsey took over the lead at the Mile on Saturday and never looked back. Wyman and Stay finished second and third, respectively. The points accumulat- ed during this week are aPPlied toward the overall Pro-Sport Hot Shoe Championship. ln addition to the regular slate ofAMA Amateur and Pro-Sport classes, there were "srJpport" classes coosisdn8 of fve Rod Lake-sponsored Vintage classes, a 100-l50cc Four-Stroke class, and the lnternational Support class, The Pre- 1975 Twins class. Yamaha XS and Triumph racers from yes- teryear, wirs won by Nicholas Taylor, while rim Henra (who has been racing since the early I950s) topped the Pre- 1982 Twins class. David Yasher won the Pre-1975 Singles class, and Paul Coven bested the Pre-1982 Singles contenders. This year, a 100-l60cc Four-Sroke class was instituted to include the PoPular "l'4ad Dog" machines that run reSularly at many local tracks, but Alex Hammack was the only racer who supPorted this class. Also a first for DTGC in 2006 was the lnternational class, open to anyone who holds a foreign PassPoft. Flamboyant ltalian Marco Belli was the overall winne( followed by England's Tim Greig, while ShortTrack UK Promot- er Peter Boast was third and Koli Furuhashi of Japan finished fourth. ln addition to signiflcant industry suP- port through numerous event and class sponsors, the lllinois lYotorcycle Dealer's Association provided Air-Fence for the riders'safety on both the half mile and Mile, This year's honoree was l4emPhis Shades' GNC rider J.R.
