As the Dew
Action Sports
Tour made
its way through
Denver, Coloiado,
on its second stop,
the
Right Guard
Open,
Supercross superstar
Ernesto
Fonseca decided
to flnd
out what
it was all about.
ln his first
real appearance
at a motortPorts/action
sports event
since becoming
iniured
in March, Ernie
was
greeted with
open arms by
fans, Dew
Tour ath-
letes, and various
members
of the motocross,
BMX,
and skateboard
industries.
Everyone
was so excited
to
see him!
Ernesto
looked
great
and seemed
to
enjoy
himself. He was
in excellent
spirits,
ioking
around
with
everyone
and smiling like
he always
does. He was
accompanied
by
his wife, Carolina.
Despite temperatures
hittinS as hi8h as
105 degrees,
he attended
three days
of the four-day
event and was
able to see several
of the comPetitions,
such
as BMX
Oirt
finals. BMX Park
practice and finals, and BMX
Vert
practice and
finals. Ernie also
took the
opportunity to
chat with many
of the
athletes, including
BMX riders
Ryan
Nyquist. T.l. Lavin,
Dave Mirra
and Allan Cooke,
FMX
riders Nate
Adams, Mike
Mason and
Ronnie Ren-
ner, and skateboarder
Ryan Sheckler, along
with several
of the athletes
that he was
just
meeting
for the tirst
time. He
was
just
amazed at their talent
and
asked
them
questions
about
their
sporB and the comPeti-
tions.
He said
he really enioled
the Dew
Action SPorts
Tour events.
Lakewise,
the athletes
were excited
to be
able to
chat with him.
He watched
the Skate
Ven linals
and
FMX Finals
live on NBC
from the
hosPitalwhere
he is staying
nearby.
Ernesto
will be leaving
the Denver
area at the end
ofthe
month to
head back to
his residence
in l''lurrieta,
California,
but
not before
heading our to
check out
