knew it would be the toughest
one for my foot, so I'm happy.
I'm not going to get too excited
about the red plate because I
already lost it this season. We've
still got a long way to go and a
lot of work to do."
Hunter finished a close second
overall and proved once again
that he's still the only one who
can beat Jett. On a two-race win
streak coming into Southwick,
Hunter stayed within striking
before the number 96 ultimately
returned the favor and fell with just
five laps left. This time it was Jett
who inherited the lead, and 2-1 fin-
ishes earned him the day's overall

in the first turn, and I couldn't avoid
getting held up. I lost a lot of time and
had to come through the pack. I put
my head down and gave everything I
had, but I used a lot of energy making
those passes. We're getting closer
with the bike, but it's still very track
dependent, and today in the sand
was challenging for us."
24 RJ HAMPSHIRE
8TH (8-10) 450MX
RJ Hampshire ran up front, but
crashes kept him from reaching the
top five. "Honestly, Southwick was
a tough day," Hampshire said. "I
crashed in the first moto and never
found the flow. I was struggling pretty
badly. Moto two, we made some
changes and got a pretty good start
