T
he Wick 338 in Southwick,
Massachusetts, is known
far and away as the most
physically demanding track on the
Pro Motocross circuit. Bottomless
sand, high speeds, and a never-
ending line of braking bumps mean
only the strongest riders find their
way to the top steps of the podium.
In the 450 division, Jett Lawrence
emerged victorious with a nar

row win while also reclaiming the
series points lead. For the 250MX
competitors, Sacha Coenen made
his mark, as the Belgian hotshot
returned to the series with a
dominant 1-1 sweep.

Jett Lawrence has never lost more
than two rounds in a row, and he
wasn't about to make it a third. With
his brother, Hunter, going on a two-
win streak at High Point and Red

Bud, Jett looked eager to get back
to his winning ways. A strong ride in
moto one saw him lead nearly all of
the race, but a late-race fall dropped
him back to second as he handed
the win over to Hunter.
"I definitely feel like I could've got
it done in the first one," Jett said. "I
was like half a tire too high on that
support and it was enough to push
through that support and grab."
The two brothers fired back in the
second moto, with roles reversed
and Jett biding his time back in
third. He made quick work of Haiden
Deegan before stalking Hunter for
the second half of the race. Jett,
who rode with a modified footpeg to
support his recovering ankle injury,
pushed the pace up front with Hunter
