JULY 26, 2006 • C Y C L E N E W S 78 Del Amo Motorsports And Red Bull Know How To Party Mix one-part Red Bull, with one-part MotoPsycho stunt riders, add a splash of bikini-clad girls, and sprinkle in food from Wahoos and you get the Del Amo Motorsports Rallye party. The Rallye was one of a series of Red Bull-fueled Energy Stops being held across the country. The parties were created for the MotoGP junkies in anticipation of the 2006 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, scheduled for July 20-26. The massive 30,000-square-foot facility's showroom at Del Amo Motorsports was turned into a nightclub Saturday, July 8. MotoPsycho stunt riders amazed the crowd in the back park- ing lot with the hourly demonstrations of no-hander wheelies, handstands on the bikes and other amazing sportbike stunts. The showroom was filled with video-game stations for guests to test their MotoGP racing skills, along with appetizers from Wahoos Fish Tacos to snack on, and, of course, there was plenty of Red Bull drinks and cocktails on hand to sample. The Red Bull dancers kept the crowd entertained, and one of the girls even had Red Bull race "leathers" airbrushed on her skin by world-renowned artist Noah. Del Amo Motorsports was founded in 1972 and originally was located at Hawthorne and 190th in Torrance, but is now located in Redondo Beach, with an inventory of Sea-Doo, Suzu- ki, Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, Montesa, KTM, just to name a few. They have a state of the art service center, and will soon be offering long-term motorcycle storage and detailing services. Del Amo Motorsports and Red Bull teamed up to host one heck of a U.S. MotoGP kickoff party. They went all out, with artist Noah even airbrushing one of the dancers in full "leathers." Alex Flores of MotoPsycho stunt riders was on hand to keep the crowd excited. PHOTOS COURTESY OF THE MARS GROUP
