The Canadian ran with the lead group early and then shook free from the second group after falling out of contention for the win, finish- ing more than 10 seconds ahead of sixth. He said, "It was a completely different track from yesterday, but we made a couple changes for the heat race. It didn't work the way we wanted it to, so we kind of went back toward the direction of yesterday, and it worked out. I mean, I ran a lonely, lonely race in fifth place for almost the entire race. It's my second top five, so I'm happy with it.
