Prado matched his season-
best result with a second-place
finish, splitting the two Law-
rences. The Red Bull KTM rider
notched a pair
of holeshot wins
and led laps in both motos. It's
the best Prado's looked all sea-
son as he controlled most of the
second
moto and seemed to be
en route to his first moto win in
the U.S. However, after leading
12 of the 16 laps, he eventually
surrendered the spot after blow
-
ing a lead of nearly 10 seconds.
His
3-2 scorecard matched
Jett's 1-5 in event points, but
he won the tiebreaker thanks to
his better finish in the second
moto. Second overall marked
his second career podium in Pro
MX and equaled his career-best
from the opening round at Fox
Raceway.
"We used the week off to
make some improvements on
the bike, and in the second moto
I felt way more like myself,"
Prado said. "We led laps, we got
the holeshot, and I'm happy with
the steps we've made. We're
coming."
Jett Lawrence rounded out
the podium after finishing third
overall. The reigning champ
overtook Prado for the lead
early in race one, but his brother,
Hunter, stayed within striking

I was just over-riding a little bit, made a
few mistakes, and went down twice."
141 NICK ROMANO
14TH (7-25) 250MX
Nick Romano started the day up front,
but a poor second moto saw him
cramp up and fade. "Moto one, I got off
to a good start, ran in the top five for
a while, and ended up P7," Romano
said. "So, I was okay with that result.
There were a couple of things I needed
to be better at, and then in moto two,
I had around a P5 start and then just
started cramping pretty badly, which
caused me to fade. We're going to go
back and dial in my program this week
to keep that from happening again and
get ready for Southwick."

31 MIKKEL HAARUP
7TH (7-7) 450MX
Mikkel Haarup had his best day of the
summer so far, going 7-7 and match-
ing his season-best finish of seventh
overall. "It was a solid day," Haarup
said. "I think that we showed some
more potential. I had mediocre starts
today, so we will try to better those. My
pace was good, and I had two solid
sevenths. I can be happy with that."
