CRA Spring Series Motocross TV Land MX Infield in Motion BY DENNIS ALBREWCZYNSKI PIERPONT, OH, JUNE 4 T V Land, located in Pierpont, Ohio, held its second CRA- sanctioned event of the 2006 season on June 4. The track, which is owned by Trevor Vines, played host to numerous rid- ers from around the area. With a separate track for the Pee Wees, the day's program goes pretty quickly - which turned out to be a good thing on this day. Clouds greeted everyone in the early morning, with temperatures in the low 60s. Rain threat- ened throughout much of the morning but held off for practice. Just in time for the riders' meeting, the sky let loose with steady rain for most of the day. Surprisingly, the track held up rather nicely, with only a few slippery spots for riders to deal with. The pre-race track prep paid off once again, as everyone was able to compete on a very ridable track despite the rain. It was a big day for Townville, Pennsylvania's number-one son, Larry Infield, as he snagged his first overall win ever. Infield rode two consistent motos on his Yamaha YZ250F, finishing in second both times out. Brandon Wissel won the first moto but crashed in the second. Zack Hayden won the second moto, but he'd crashed in the first, thus giving Infield the overall win. One can only imagine the excitement back at the Infield Farm when Larry brought home the gold. Good job, Lawrence! Husqvarna-mounted Tim Marton won the 250cc C class, with Honda rider Cody Havel taking second and Kawasaki pilot Eric Duvall finishing third. Dan Swartzbeck was the lone competitor in the 250cc B class, so he took the easy win. As usual, the 125cc C class was one of the biggest. Ryan Wo r t h c a m e o u t o n t o p a b o a r d a Ya m a h a , w i t h E d d i e Orzehowski second and Marcus Sadler third, both riding Honda CRF250s. In the Vet classes, it was Brian George coming out on top in the Senior One class. Don Balzer took second, with Tim Marton coming in third. Neal Davis won the Senior Two class, followed by Rick Bennett and Dan Morgan. Balzer won the Over 25 class on his Honda. There was a decent turnout in the Mini classes. Russell Lineman finished runner-up in both the Junior Mini and Supermini classes. Douglas Baker won the Junior Mini class, and Ryan Weber won the Supermini class. Tony Mariano came out on top of the Senior Mini class, over Weber and Justin Lyle. In the end, it was another great day of racing in Ohio. The CRA will visit TV Land once again on June 25. If you haven't been to TV Land yet, you truly are missing out on the "Funnest Place on Earth." RESULTS P/W BEG: 1. Erik Simpson (Cob); 2. Nicholas Guy (Hon); 3. Chase Gongas; 4. Cody Morrow (KTM); 5.
