Reaching the Optimum
New and improved for 2006, Universal's Optima Clutch Lever
has just hit the market. The Optima Clutch Lever features a
forged and machined perch lever along with a new lightweight
CNC-machined bar clamp. The '06 lever also has a new on-
the-fly cable adjuster with spring-loaded detents. An extra-
thick lever pivot, bronze lever brushing, a nylon mount-
ing bushing, and an injection-molded dust cover and
barrel-end round out the Optima Clutch Lever.

Storz has just released a
new steering-damper kit for
2004-06 rubber mounted
Harley-Davidson Sportsters.
The adjustable 16-position,
race-quality, steering
damper mounts to the
frame and fork with CNC
billet-machined mounting
clamps and allows for what
Storz calls "full front fork
movement." Rotating the
adjustment knob on the end
of the damper shaft regu-
lates the damping force.
The kit comes with all nec-
essary mounting hardware
and complete installation
instructions. Kits are also
available for FXR and most
Dyna-model Harleys.
Weigh Scale
Intercomp's new SW650R1 Quik Weigh Scale features a Drag Racing Chassis
Set-Up screen specifically designed for drag racers. The screen displays all
four corner weights as well as front and rear percentages simultaneously.
The weigh screen is viewed on an Intercomp handheld display and can be
downloaded to Intercomp's Race Car Management Software for accurate
data logging and long-term data management. Intercomp's billet scale pads
have a certified calibration of 0.1 percent and come with a standard two-
year warranty. The entire system has a total capacity of 6000-lb./3000kg,
with each scale having an individual capacity of
1500lb./750kg. The scales are
15x15x2.5inches and are
machined from 6061 T6 Aircraft
Grade Billet Aluminum. The Drag
Racing Chassis Set-Up system is
also available for Intercomp's

Oxtar says that its new TCX Pro
Boot is setting the standard in ankle-
support technology. The TCX Pro's
patented Torsion Control System
(TCS) utilizes four flexure points
on the sides of the boots, and
two flexure points on the heel
to allow for controlled
lateral movement
and front to back
bending of the
ankle. In other
words, the TCS
helps prevent hyperextension of the
ankle by providing stopping points without
restricting movement. For additional protection
and safety, the TCX Pro comes with a rear heel
guard, a steel toe cap, shank protection, and an
inside suede heat guard. The boot also features an
inner bootie with gel-melleolus protection, a dual-
compound sole, aluminum replaceable buckles
and lorica leather. The boot comes in sizes 7.5-15
