at X Games

he 2026 X Games took place
June 27-28 in Sacramento,
California, for the first stop on
the 2026 schedule. This is the
first year of the new X Games
League format, which features
four clubs battling for the top
spot over three different rounds:
Sacramento, Chiba (Japan) and
New Orleans. Quarter Pipe High
Air was cut from this year's
schedule, meaning Best Whip
and Best Trick were the only two
events for the Moto X athletes.
Julien Vanstippen and Patrick
Evans walked away with their
respective gold medals.
Moto X Best Whip athletes
capped off opening day. Defend

ing gold medalist Vanstippen
topped the competition in his
final jump with a massive whip in
his signature turn-up style.
"Every time I win gold, it's a dif

ferent feeling," said Vanstippen.
"Tonight, I'm going to celebrate
for sure."
X Games veteran Tom Par-
sons held the top spot for most
of the jam session but was
eventually knocked down to the
silver-medal position. Wyatt Fon

tanot of Opelousas, Louisiana,
earned his first-ever X Games
medal with a bronze.
