However, the reigning World
champ admitting "we're back in
the game" was not the top story
of the weekend. That honor fell
to Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia
Racing), who was sensationally
suspended from Sunday's action
after striking a marshal twice in
the aftermath of his fourth Sprint
crash of the season.
The marshal in question may
have revved Bezzecchi's RS-GP
It was easy for Marquez to
explain his success at Balaton
Park. Its anticlockwise layout and
low-speed chicanes were less de-
manding on his recovering shoul-
der. Brno was a different story.
In addition to
its fast chicanes,
there were track temperatures
approaching 122°F. "I thought,
today, a very optimistic target
was a podium," he said. "It was
completely unexpected, this win."

"I feel good. We had a good week-
end, and we're improving: we're
still missing something, especially
with used tires, but we're getting
there," Francesco Bagnaia said.
"Today [Sunday], we lacked a bit of
performance in the final six laps. I
tried to manage the pace as best I
could, knowing I was missing one- to
two-tenths. Toward the end, I had to
slow down because whenever I was
in the slipstream, the front end was
constantly threatening to tuck. Once
I had clear track ahead again, I was
able to push again, and luckily I had
a good margin over Diggia [Fabio Di
Giannantonio] in the closing stages.
The fact that I could pick up my pace
again is a good sign, but there's still
work to be done."

fight for something worth it," Joan
