fastest qualifying time during
the morning session, Davies
inherited the race lead late in
moto one, giving him his third
career moto win. The sec-
ond moto saw a much more
dominant performance as
the Star Racing Yamaha rider
went wire-to-wire for all 17
laps. This was easily Davies'
best performance outdoors to
date and puts him right back
into the championship con
-
versation. He's fourth overall
and seven points down in the
standings.
"This feels awesome," Da-
vies said. "I feel like I sorted
my starts out, and I nailed
that second start and was
gone. I felt great all day. My
first perfect day in motocross.
Second overall went to
Julien Beaumer, who had a ca
-
reer-best day with 2-2 results.
The Red Bull KTM rider led a
good part of race one before a
fall dropped him back to sec-
ond. Still, he showed he can
run that pace and was opening
up a gap on Davies before hit-
ting the deck. He then backed
that up with another quiet sec-
ond place in moto two for his
most consistent race day yet.
He earned a grip of points that
put him third in the champion-
ship, just two points back from
the overall lead.
"This is special," Beaumer
said. "I remember last year
when they said I wasn't an
outdoors guy, but we're get
