D ucati announced another brand-new model, the Desmo250 MX, which will debut in the 2027 model year and soon share the sales floor with its bigger brother, the Desmo450MX. The Ducati Desmo250 MX fea - tures a fuel-injected 249.7cc four- stroke, four-valve single-cylinder engine with Desmodromic timing, designed to rev to 15,000 rpm to "fully exploit every gear, reducing the need to shift," says Ducati. The engine is paired with a sev - en-plate clutch and a five-speed gearbox featuring an upshift-only quickshifter. An electronics package in - cludes two adjustable engine maps, a three-tier traction-control system, two engine-braking varia- tions, and three launch-control op- tions. All settings are configurable via Ducati's X-Link mobile app. The Desmo250 MX is fitted with Showa suspension, which in- cludes a 49mm closed-cartridge fork with Kashima coating. It has an aluminum perimeter frame and swingarm and comes with Brembo brakes with Galfer discs. The MSRP has been an - nounced as $10,595. The bike is expected to be available in August.
