race brilliantly, though Semmens
refused to go away. The pair
stayed within striking distance
all the way to the finish, with only
seven seconds separating them
after more than two hours of rac-
ing. Semmens settled for second
but showcased championship-
winning speed throughout the
day.
Dare DeMartile had the pace
to challenge the front runners,
but mistakes proved costly.
The Beta rider tipped over three
times around the course, includ-
ing incidents in the technical Pro
section. Despite the setbacks,
DeMartile remounted each time
and fought back to secure third
place, preserving a podium finish.
Jake Alvarez brought his
Kawasaki home in fourth after
a consistent ride, while Hayden
Florez rounded out the top five.
As the checkered flag waved
over Glen Helen Raceway, the
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS
Series closed the first half of the
season in fitting fashion. One of
the sport's most storied venues
once again delivered close racing,
dramatic moments, and plenty of
memorable performances. Now,
with the summer break ahead,
riders and teams will have time to
regroup before returning to battle
for championships in the second
half of the season.
