Ryde, Redding Take Wins
at Knockhill BSB
K
yle Ryde (Nitrous Coin Nitrous
Competitions Racing Ducati) and
Scott Redding (Hager PBM Racing
Team) emerged victorious at the
third round of the ZYN British Super-
bike Series at Knockhill, June 20-21.
Ryde took two of the three feature
races, and Redding capped off the
weekend with a win in race three.
In race one, Ryde opened up a
"comfortable" lead at the end, finish-
ing 3.556 seconds ahead of Redding
and six seconds ahead of third-place
finisher Glenn Irwin (Nitrous Coin Ni-
trous Competitions Racing Ducati).
In a hectic race two, it was a much
closer finish, with Ryde edging ahead
of Bradley Ray (McAMS Yamaha) by
nearly half a second. Redding was a
close third but comfortably ahead of
Storm Stacey (Bathams AJN Rac-
ing). Irwin crashed out just past the
halfway point.
Ryde's bid for a sweep came up
short in race three after finishing
third to race-winner Redding and
runner-up Ray.
Ryde still enjoys a comfortable
154-133 point lead over Redding, but
there is still plenty of racing to go.
Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido Racing),
Ray and Max Cook (AJN Steelstock
bimota) round out the champion-
ship's top five. CN
