the White Rose Hillclimb National from Pennsylvania,
which was won by Tom Reiser... In just his second
AMA Superbike National, Alessandro Gramigni
won at a wet Road America... Ty Davis and Paul
Krause took the overall win at the Baja 500.

We featured the SCORE Baja Internacional on the
cover of Cycle News 50 years ago. The Husqvarna
duo, AC Bakken and Larry Roeseler, paired up
to take the win. The 125cc-class winner, Carl
Cranke, was pictured on the cover... We had
coverage of the Full House Classic Half Mile
from Delaware, won by Corky Keener... Kent
Howerton won the AMA 500cc Motocross
National at Lake Sugar Tree.
