Haiden Deegan landed his
first 450MX podium with two
third-place finishes, good for
third overall. The 450 rookie
came out swinging, set the
fastest lap in the first qualifying
session, and grabbed a good
start behind Jett in the opening
moto. This is the battle we've
been waiting for at the front
of the field, but it never really
materialized. Deegan eventually
came under fire from Hunter
and settled for third before a
poor start in race two saw him
claw his way to a podium posi
-
tion behind the two brothers.
This
result shows improvement,
with Deegan jumping to third in
the series.
"That was good today,"
Deegan said. "I just want to
get better and better each
weekend. That's the goal. Keep
progressing with each moto
and try to be there."
Dylan Ferrandis finished
fourth overall, marking a per
-
sonal best for the Ducati brand
in the United
States.
"It was a good improvement
today," Ferrandis said. "We didn't
touch the bike today, and I think
that's good and shows confi
-
dence. I was always right there
in the top
five or six, battling, and
I gave everything on the track."
Garrett Marchbanks tied his
career-best finish, finishing fifth
overall. "I had to work through
the pack in moto one, then got
another good start in moto two
and made some strong passes
to finish fifth," Marchbanks said.
"To come away with fifth overall
is a great step forward for us."
