Eli Tomac missed round two and
will continue his recovery in the
coming weeks after crashing out of
the opening round at Fox Raceway.
"Scans this week confirmed a hyper-
extended ligament and partially torn
muscle, requiring the Red Bull KTM
Factory Racing rider to take time out
from racing," the team said.
J COOP UPDATE
Justin Cooper crashed on the
opening lap of the second 450
moto, prompting a red-flag restart.
Cooper sustained a concussion
and was transported to the hospital
for further evaluation before being
released. He has no broken bones
and will undergo the concussion
protocol. "I'm bummed to go down
like that at Hangtown," Cooper said.
"The crash was completely out of
my control, but that's racing. The
team and I made some bike chang-
es for the second moto, and I was
excited to see what I could do with
a good start. It was a high-speed
crash, and I hit my head, but luck-
ily, everything else has checked out
