ago featured Jay Springsteen on the cover. Some
of our dirt track stories included an interview with
Rich King and a feature on the Total Control Racing
Team... Pascal Picotte came away with the AMA
Superbike National win at Mid-Ohio... Will Davis
won the Starved Rock Grand National at La Salle
Speedway in Illinois.
June 15, 1976
Tony DiStefano secured his second 250 National
MX Championship and was featured on the cover
50 years ago... Steve Eklund became the eighth
di‹erent rider in eight races to win a round of the
AMA GNC Camel Pro Series, this one coming in
Pontiac, Michigan… Brad Lackey and Roger
DeCoster traded moto wins at the 500cc
MXGP of Finland, but Gerrit Wolsink got the
overall.
