after Martin did his best bowling- ball impression, smashing into the side of Bezzecchi and caus- ing all hell to break loose, with only Di Giannantonio managing to get back up and going again. It was a gigantic pileup in much the same way as Martin's crash in Japan last year that took out Bezzecchi, and he was scolded by a barely restrained Aprilia Racing boss Massimo Rivola in the media afterward, the Italian saying, "This is not a mistake a World Champion should make." Moto2 is fast becoming the Manuel Gonzalez (Intact Kalex) show as the Spaniard held his nerve against a race- long challenge from Czech star Filip Salac (American Racing Kalex), while in Moto3, the class destroyer Max Quiles did so again, taking his fifth win of the season. "I tried everything I could to get back past Ogura at the end, but I couldn't quite manage it. Still some good points in the championship overall, so we must focus on this and come back strong in the next two races." Kaboom! Jorge Martin's errant Aprilia smashes into the side of his teammate Bezzecchi, who then wipes out Raul Fernandez (25), Fermin Aldeguer (blue) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (yellow). It was a gnarly accident.
