round-one winner started
near the front both times
and made a decisive pass
on Haiden Deegan late in the
first moto. A restart in moto
two saw Hunter lose the top
spot as he and Jett flip-
flopped starting positions on
the opening lap. He stayed
close, but a mid-race surge
saw Jett break away, leaving
Hunter to settle for second
overall. A pair of second-
place results still keeps
H-Law in the points lead
heading into round three.
"It's harder racing against
Jett," Hunter said. "He's my
toughest competitor. It got
to the point where I was
going to take some time to
reset and make a push, but
he decided to go for a sprint
and gapped me. Still a solid
result. It was a tough track
today, so I'm happy."

okay. I'm going to rest up and come
back once I feel I'm physically back
to one hundred percent."
STEWART TO SIT OUT
UPCOMING ROUNDS
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Malcolm Stewart will be sidelined
for a few rounds of the Pro Moto-
cross Championship after a knee
injury sustained at the Fox Raceway
opener. "Unfortunately, Malcolm
dabbed his knee in the second
moto at Pala," said Nathan Ramsey,
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory
Racing Team Manager. "Luckily,
there is no major damage, so he
will rehab for a couple of weeks
and be back as soon as possible."
The target race for a possible return
is round five at RedBud over the
July 4 weekend.
PENALTY REPORT
Charli Cannon received a one-
position penalty for accelerating off
the track in the first WMX moto; Levi
Kitchen, Mikkel Haarup, and Haiden
Deegan were all issued one license
point for "going off track," and Nate
Thrasher's mechanic was issued a
fine for interference with Deacon
Denno in moto one.
