than the full-blown race bikes."
The four-stroke range of "Pro"
models includes the 350, 390,
430 and 480, which now feature
some racing-derived technolo-
gies, such as Launch Control
with five levels of adjustability
and Quick Shift (QS), both of
which join Traction Control (TC),
which the four-strokes already
had. There is a new map switch
to operate it all.
The four-strokes also feature
an upgraded voltage regulator,
revised titanium valves, and a
mechanical chain tensioner,
with a newly calibrated spring,
which Beta says reduces inter
-
nal friction and ensures smooth-
er engine operation and more
consistent starting, whether the
motor is hot or cold.
The two-stroke range in
-
cludes the 125, 200, 250 and
300. The two-strokes feature
updated main bearings for the
250 and 300, an updated piston
for the 125, and longer primary
gearing for the 200.
Shared updates for both rang-
es include a heavy-duty chain
guide, softer-compound grips,
an updated Trailtech meter, a
redesigned LED headlight/mask,
and a redesigned front-sprocket
guard.
All the models will be avail
-
able in August. Pricing has not
been announced.
