ROUND 1 / MAY 30, 2026
FOX RACEWAY / PALA, CALIFORNIA
P74
450MX
Lawrence stole the show in
his most dominant 450 perfor-
mance to date. The Honda HRC
rider
was the fastest on track in
every session, posting the pole
in both qualifiers and winning
both motos. Lawrence carried
his momentum from the Mon
-
ster Energy AMA Supercross
Championship straight
into the
outdoor AMA Pro Motocross
Championship. The number 96
looked comfortable as ever,
leading all but one lap through
-
out the day and managing both
motos
from the front of the
pack. This is Lawrence's second
overall victory in the 450MX
division, but the first time he's
ever swept with 1-1 finishes. He
carries the red plate into round
two and is already establishing
4 CHASE SEXTON
6TH (7-5) 450MX
Chase Sexton ran up front in both
motos, but crashes limited him to
sixth overall. "Today wasn't where I
was hoping to be, but I put myself in
a tough position being on the ground
twice," he said. "I felt good in moto
one and was running in a good spot
before a small mistake cost me a
few spots late in the race. In moto
two, I got a decent start and was
battling up front, but another small
tipover set me back. I was able to
salvage sixth overall, but I expect
myself on the podium."
31 MIKKEL HAARUP
11TH (10-14) 450MX
Mikkel Haarup made his debut on the
Triumph TF-450X and took the hole-
shot in the first 450 moto. "I think we
can be happy with our performance,
being inside the top 10 and starting
the race like we did," he said. "The
holeshot in moto one was good for
me and the team. I rode a solid moto
and still ended in the top 10. In the
second moto, I had a good start again
and was fighting hard to stay in posi-
tion but made a small mistake. I think
we can be proud of the first round."
