"3-6 for P4 overall to start the outdoor season at Pala," Cooper said. "Bummed I put myself in a bad position with a 17th-place start in moto two. I'm happy with my bike and ready for these next few rounds." Haiden Deegan made his 450 debut at Fox Raceway and Jett did not win. Third overall leaves him 12 points down from his brother, Hunter. "Motocross is a lot harder than I remember," Lawrence said. "I was just trying to figure it out today. I found out what arm pump was in the first moto. It wasn't the best conditions for my foot, but I thought I rode great. I just didn't get the starts today and need to work on that." Two poor starts made things tougher, forcing Lawrence to pass through traffic in both motos. He improved as the day wore on and nearly caught Prado for second in the final moto. His 4-3 finishes were not what we expected from the number one, as he limped onto the podium after the checkered flag. Hard to believe this was only the fourth 450MX round PENALTY REPORT Gavin Towers was penalized two positions for going off track and gaining an advantage in moto one. Russell Buccheri and Gavin Betts rode outside of the track markers in the track section, and both re- ceived one rider license point each. PALA NOTES: This is the first time since 2019 that the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team has held the red plate in the 250MX division… Seth Hammaker became the 95th different 250-class winner. He's the only non-Yamaha rider to win this season… Jorge Prado is the first Spanish rider to finish on the podium in Pro Motocross… Defending NGPC Champion Dante Oliveira finished 16th overall in the 450MX division with a 19-15... Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Malcolm Stewart pulled out of the second moto with a knee injury... Triumph's Austin Forkner (250MX) crashed out of moto one and finished 28th in moto two: "I could see that my speed was good at points, but mistakes stopped me from capitalizing." Briefly...
