Once again, Garrett Gerloff delivered one of his recent "specials," moving from 13th on the grid to sixth as the lightly updated Kawasaki once again powered him well beyond con- ventional expectations. "Not a bad day on Sunday," said Garrett. "But I am just frus- trated with the Superpole race. In race two, I felt I had a better start and pushed to close in on the Bimota riders. But I was still hoping for more this weekend." In the championship stand- ings, the bare statistics read like a scary film script for anyone who wants to see a wide-open championship or teams with one of their non-Ducati riders looking to get a look-in. Bulega now has a perfect 372 points, Lecuona is already 108 behind with 264, and Sam Lowes is 230 points behind Bulega and a mere 122 off Lecuona's total, with literally half of the season now completed. As routes go, this 2026 one is pretty comprehensive, with VOLUME 63 ISSUE 22 JUNE 2, 2026 P63 Iker Lecuona tried to keep up, finishing second in all three main races. Jaume Masia finished off the weekend winning the WorldSSP race.
