Marquez to Travel
to Mugello
M
arc Marquez will travel to
Italy for this weekend's
MotoGP round at Mugello
after passing a "positive medi-
cal check." The reigning World
Champion is recovering from fur-
ther surgery to his right shoulder
to remove two screws that were
impacting his radial nerve.
Sources close to Marquez
indicate the 33-year-old is fired
up to get his title defense back
on track after this latest sur
-
gery, which caused him to miss
his home GP in Barcelona. It's
believed the Catalan had grown
so confused by his shoulder is
-
sues pre-operation,
he had become
convinced it was a
mental block. Know
-
ing the cause of the
issues has given the nine-time
champ fresh motivation.
After scoring no points at
each of the past two rounds,
Marquez sits ninth in the cur
-
rent championship standings,
85 points back of current leader
Marco Bezzecchi.
A Ducati statement read:
Following a positive medical
check, Marc Marquez will travel
to Mugello (on Wednesday). He is
scheduled for a final trackside as
-
sessment on Thursday to secure
the fit to race clearance.

Ross Brawn
Joins Pramac
R
oss Brawn is the latest
Formula One alumnus to
join the MotoGP ranks after it
was announced he has joined
Pramac Racing's Limited Board
of Directors.
The Englishman enjoyed serial
success at the highest levels of
Formula One with Benetton, Fer
-
rari and Brawn GP. In that time,
he won a total of 22 champion-
ships, 11 Constructors' and 11
Drivers' championships.
The 71-year-old will act as a
"strategic advisor" to Pramac
Team Principal Paolo Campinoti.
"His vision, knowledge and win
-
ning mentality will make a valu-
able contribution to the contin-
ued growth and development of
Pramac Racing," Campinoti said.
Pramac became the first
satellite MotoGP
team to win the
Rider's Champion
-
ship in 23 years in
2024 but has since
struggled to impact
the top results due
to Yamaha's current
competitiveness
issues.
"I'm delighted
to join the board
of Pramac Racing
Limited in a non-
executive role," said
Brawn. "Motorsport
has always been
about people, teamwork and con
-
tinuous improvement, and I look
forward to supporting Paolo and
the team and contributing where
my experience may be useful.
Pramac has built an impressive
organization with a strong spirit
and ambition, and I'm excited to
be part of its future."
