ROUND 2 / MAY 15-17, 2026
BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK / BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA
ROAD RACE I MOTOAMERICA AMA/FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP
P94
ing the podium on his Yamaha
XSR900. The weekend also
marked a rare off-form show-
ing for the normally dominant
Saddlemen Race Development
Harley-Davidson squad, with
former number one Cory West
the top H-D rider in sixth.
Race two proved far more
competitive as Rodio battled
Josh Herrin (OrangeCat Rac
-
ing) and the Lightfighter V3-RH
electric bike. Rodio ultimately
prevailed
again, while Herrin's
second-place finish marked only
the second AMA/MotoAmerica
podium finish for an electric
motorcycle.
James Rispoli (Saddlemen
Race Development) finished
points each, each with three wins,
two second-place finishes, and
one third-place finish so far this
season. Paige is third with 90.
Mission Super
Hooligan
Gus Rodio enjoyed a perfect
weekend in the Mission Super
Hooligan National Champion-
ship at Barber Motorsports Park,
sweeping
both races aboard
his Rodio Racing Ducati Street-
fighter V2 while setting new lap
records
in each outing.
Rodio controlled race one to
win by nearly five seconds over
Bryce Kornbau (BPR Racing
Yamaha), with Robertino Pietri
(Coatzymoto LatinWE) complet-
rival Kensei Matsudaira (Team
Roberts)
ran off track and
dropped down the order. Gouker
stretched his advantage to
nearly four seconds at the finish,
while Jake Paige (Team Ham
-
mer) secured second. Matsu-
daira fought back impressively
t
o salvage third and extend his
podium streak to five races.
Gouker repeated the per-
formance in race two, again
beating
Matsudaira, with Paige
completing the podium for the
second straight race despite
recovering from heavy crashes
earlier in the weekend.
The results leave Gouker and
Matsudaira tied at the top of the
championship standings with 131
Gus Rodio (95) bagged
his first wins in the Super
Hooligan category, defeating
the electric-powered Josh
Herrin (2) and moving to the
top of the points table.
