67 DAVIS FISHER
5TH SUPERTWINS
The good news is Rackley Racing's
Davis Fisher is as fast as anyone, title
contenders included. The bad news
is he's having a tough time translat-
ing that speed into points with a run
of mechanical misfortune repeatedly
hindering his efforts. He explained,
"The day was definitely up and down
to say the least. We started the day
fast, qualifying and then sitting on
pole for the heat race. We went out
and had dirt punch a hole in the radia-
tor, and the clutch went too. And then
in the LCQ, I worked my way up to
around fifth and ended up blowing
up the motorcycle. So, for the main
event, we used our provisional and
went to the 'B' bike. We started on
the last row and worked our way up
to fifth. That last lap, we were right on
a third-place finish, but I just couldn't
make something happen in the last
corner."
