of a second away from victory, fin- ishing off an all-Yamaha podium. Matteo Ferrari (WRP Racing Ducati) faded from his part of the podium battle to finish fourth, just one second behind the victor. Championship challenger Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing Verdnatura) recovered from a tough weekend and from a start - ing position of 25th again to take fifth place. Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Tri- umph Factory Racing) went from 22nd place on the grid in race one to seventh in the finish, then he finished sixth in race two. Double WorldSSP Champion from years gone by, Dominique Aegerter, continues to toil in his WorldSSP return, taking his Ka- wasaki to 12th in race one and only 15th in race two. Masia's boldness and pass- ing ability mitigated the damage that a 2-1 race weekend record for Arenas did to the points table, with the Yamaha rider on 150 points, Masia second on 117 and Debise third on 94. What about Debise, the race- one winner? His race-winning bike showed some frailty this time—a full spectrum of racing life, you could say—as he retired with a technical issue for a DNF. WorldWCR The third round of the World - WCR Championship was a typi- cal hot contest out front, with Maria Herrera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) winning the first race and Paola Ramos (Klint Racing Team) the second. The first race had to be stopped and restarted after nine laps, not the original 11. A collision on the warmup lap left debris on the track, and all the teams scram- bled to get the bikes back out and ready for racing again. Herrera led Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) by 0.263 of a second and Ramos by 0.414 of a second in the first race, with only Roberta Ponziani (Klint Racing Team) close be - hind the leading three. British rider Chloe Jones (Monster Energy Crescent Yama- ha) was sixth in the opener. The second race, over a full 11 laps this time, was an eventual three-way fight, with Ramos win- ning by 0.227 of a second and Herrera just 0.014 of a second behind. Fourth place was taken by Thai rider Muklada Sarapu - ech (EEST NJT Racing), who was 2.715 seconds behind the winner, with Ponziani behind her in fifth. Astrid Madrigal (Pons Italika Racing FIMLA) was sixth in the second race. American rider Mallory Dobbs (YVS Sabadell Diva Racing) ended her Hungarian venture in 17th and 21st positions after qualifying 17th. In the championship, after three rounds of six, Herrera has 131 points, Neila 117 (just 14 behind), Ramos is on 86 and Pon - ziani 76. The next round for this class will be Misano, in mid-June.
