ore than 96,000 fans
crammed into the
Circuito de Jerez - Angel
Nieto to witness a Marquez
comeback. Almost all of them
were expecting it to come from
the older brother.
Marc Marquez (Lenovo
Ducati) arrived, hailing his
much-improved physical
condition after the recent
three-week break. But come
Sunday afternoon, it was Alex
Marquez (Gresini Ducati) who
had real reason to believe his
season had received a fresh
injection thanks to his most
convincing MotoGP victory to
date, while questions hung over
his older sibling.
All weekend long, Alex was a
man reinvented. After a tricky
start to the season, the double
World Champion (in Moto2 and
Moto3) entered his home race
with a revised mindset.
