Honda's Andre Malherbe claimed
victory at the Italian 500cc
Motocross Grand Prix in 1981. The
three-time 500cc World Champion
from Belgium successfully
defended the number-one plate
that year after a fierce season-
long battle with his teammate,
Great Britain's Graham Noyce. The
championship would be decided at
the final round in Luxembourg. In
fact, all of Malherbe's titles were
decided at the final round.
