"I felt like I was going to be
able to contend for the champi

onship but had a little mishap
[shoulder injury],"
Thrasher said.
"That's part of it, though. We've
done what we can–fourth, sec

ond and now first. We're trending
and
it feels good to be back up
here."
Landen Gordon finished
second overall in his second
professional Supercross race.
After sustaining a flat tire that
relegated him to last place one
week ago in his pro debut, it
could only go up for the Star
Racing Yamaha rookie. Gordon,
a two-time SMX Next Supercross
winner, started the night in fourth
but kept improving as the night
progressed and racked up two
second places in the final two
mains. It must've felt like another
day at the Star Racing farm, as
Gordon followed his teammates
Thrasher and Cole Davies in for
the runner-up spots with 4-2-2
scores, which moves him just
one point back from Thrasher in
the overall points rankings.
"If you would have told me af

ter last weekend I'd be sitting on
the podium,
that'd be unbeliev-
able," Gordon said. "I've put in so
much work into
this. I'm backed
by the best team, so I expect
