three rounds remaining.
"I am so blown away with
the gamble we took with the
weather," Roczen said. "It was
supposed to be clear for the last
two races, but it kept raining.
That affected my decision with
goggles, and I kept sticking with
roll-offs just to be safe. After I
got the holeshot in the last race,
I had a clear track and just felt
really comfortable. Once I had a
gap, I just made sure I didn't do
anything silly. I'm just so grate
-
ful I'm able to ride like this."
Cooper Webb finished second
overall for the second week in
a row. The Monster Energy Star
Racing Yamaha rider showed
strong pace from the first quali

fying session and put that to use
Despite worsening track
conditions due to persistent
rain, Roczen was able to keep
things under control. He man-
aged to score 2-2-1 finishes and
racked up five total points, by
far the lowest score of the field
in the Olympic-style-scoring
round. His dominant third-moto
win capped off the night and
was made more significant in
the championship standings
with Lawrence crashing multiple
times in the muddy conditions,
tightening the points gap on the
leaderboard between the two.
With the overall win in hand,
along with Lawrence's struggles,
the number 94 now sits just one
point out of the championship
lead. It's anyone's race with just
in the three main events. Webb,
the defending champ, only got
better as the track got worse. Af

ter a fifth in race one, he backed
that up with a fourth in race two
and finally a second to end the
night. The final race of the night
proved critical as it gave Webb
the tiebreaker against his Yama

ha teammate Justin Cooper for
second on the overall podium.
Even better for Webb is the fact
that Eli Tomac sat out for the
night (more on that later), as it
allowed him to overtake third in
the series standings.
"What a crazy day," Webb
said. "I rode bad in the first race
but got better for the last two. I
didn't think I had a chance for the
podium after the first two, so I

46 JUSTIN HILL
8TH (10-11-3) 450SX
A third for Justin Hill in the final main
event was his best ride of the year
and salvaged a top 10 in the overall
rankings. "Triple Crown in Cleveland
was a wild night," Hill said. "Lots of
different conditions throughout the
day. The first two mains were about
last-place starts off the slippery grate.
Main three was a midpack-or-so start,
but I charged as hard as I could and
got to a podium spot: 10-11-3 for
eighth. My riding is exactly where I
want it. I can't say I've ever had this
much belief in myself."
