Scholtz suddenly lost pace
along the back straight thanks
to a badly slipping clutch, allow

ing Fong through. From there,
Fong
pulled clear to secure
the win by 2.9 seconds, while
Scholtz managed his ailing ma-
chine to finish second, maintain-
ing a comfortable buffer over
the rest of
the field.
