After crashing out of race one on
Saturday, Bobby Fong overtook
race-one winner Mathew Scholtz
with only a couple of laps left to go
in race two for the win. "I knew at
the end it was going to be a hell of
a last-lap battle, if his [Scholtz's]
bike didn't break," Fong said after
the race on Sunday. "We got a little
lucky at the end. I'm sure it would
have been fireworks, for sure. We're
both competitive riders. We try to
be safe out there, but we want the
win just as much as anybody. It was
good to get 25 points on the board.
It's going to be a long season. These
guys next to me are super-fast. I feel
like, every weekend, we're going to
be seeing each other up here."

A brief off-track excursion relegated
Josh Herrin to fifth on Saturday,
but in race two he not only won, he
set a new Supersport lap record of
1:27.554. "I was having a lot of fun

Ducati. A podium in race one was scant reward after topping the Friday sessions.
