Nate Thrasher was due for a win
at the eighth round of the 250 X
East Division, and he got exactly
that on Saturday night. While
the 250SX veteran is not in the
conversation for this year's title
fight, he's been trending upward
over the last three rounds.
Thrasher put up a fight in
all three main events, but the
highlight of his night was a
commanding win in the second
moto. This set him up with the
advantage heading into the
aspirations essentially slashed
as he never even lined up for the
night show. Tomac suffered a
big hit when he crashed in the
whoops in the first timed quali
-
fying session, with his shoulder
and
hip taking the majority of
the impact. He walked off under
his own power and tried to ride
the second session but ulti-
mately pulled the plug.
According to

from the Red Bull Factory KTM
team, "The decision was made
for [Tomac] to park his KTM
450 SX-F Factory Edition and
undergo further medical evalua

night. As the rain
came down,
Lawrence hit the deck twice and
dropped to 14th in the running
order. The result added to his to-
tal score and ultimately landed
him sixth overall.
With Roczen
scoring 25 points to Lawrence's
16 on the night, only one point
separates the two going into the
final three-race stretch.
"I had a bad start and just
made it tough on myself,"
Lawrence said. "Another rider
checked up, and I went down. It
was a bit of a s*** night at the
office. We'll come back next
weekend in Philly."
