THE FIRST TIME WE
WENT TO JEREZ
Jerez is one of the great MotoGP
circuits, often drawing record
crowds and hosting some of the
most memorable GP battles. The
first time MotoGP hit the tight
confines of the 2.7-mile Andalusian
venue was in 1987, and here
we have then-World Champion
Eddie Lawson leading career
rival and that year's champion
Wayne Gardner, Ron Haslam,
Randy Mamola, Ron McElnea,
Pierfrancesco Chili and Kevin
Schwantz. Gardner would clear
o‰ to take the win.
