I'm pumped to be on the podium, but we've got a lot of work to do." Devin Simonson was credited with third overall, his career-first podium. He crossed the line in fourth but received a bump up when Hammaker was issued a penalty afterward for not re- entering the track in the correct spot after he went down. In fact, Simonson didn't even have one top-five to his credit in 10 250SX starts until Nashville, but now found himself shuffled back to fourth on multiple occasions, but chaos from the other racers allowed him to return to a podium position. In the closing laps, Thrasher made up two spots and went from fourth to second thanks to a crash with Seth Hammaker and Daxton Bennick. This is Thrasher's first podium of the season and comes fittingly in his home-state race. "I didn't ride my best during that main event, but second, I'll take it," Thrasher said. "I got a probably the gnarliest, to like opposite gnarliest. It was soft and rutted last weekend, and it was as hard-packed as you could get this weekend," Davies said. "You just had to be patient, and I just let the race come to me. I'm stoked—that was a good race. I didn't get off to a good start, but I made it happen, and I'm stoked with that." Nate Thrasher, Davies' Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha teammate, grabbed his best result of the season by far with second. Thrasher, the Tennessee native, turned up the heat in front of his home fans as he led the first four laps of the main event.
