"I'm so grateful," Deegan
said. "This 250 career has been
insane. As a kid, I wanted to win
one championship; that's every
kid's dream. This is number six.
We're going to keep digging.
I ain't done yet. I'm not done
ticking [championships] off, and
we're coming to the 450 class
swinging."
St. Louis marks Deegan's
13th career 250SX victory and
ties him with a slew of athletes
for second on the all-time 250
class wins list, including Nathan
Ramsey, Austin Forkner, Jeremy
McGrath and Jett Lawrence.
Davies finished second at the
line, making him the best East

ern Divisional rider on the night.
The 250SX
East points leader

down victory. Unfortunately for
Davies,
Deegan continuously cut
into his lead and made the pass
after just six minutes. Davies
didn't put up much of a fight,
knowing his teammate is in a
separate championship fight. A
second-place finish still meant
beating his title rivals, and Da

vies pulled his margin to double
digits over
Seth Hammaker.
"I'm happy with tonight,"
Davies said. "That track was
gnarly. I just rode it home. I'm
happy I gained points [in the
Eastern Divisional Champion-
ship], because there was no
need to
push it in those condi-
tions."
Hammaker took
a quiet third
place, his fifth consecutive
podium finish. The Monster
Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki
rider was never much of a threat
to his Star Racing Yamaha
teammate Davies and made a
surprisingly easy pass for the
lead with nine minutes left on
the race clock. Deegan gapped
Davies by more than 15 seconds
as Anstie finished a distant 15th,

onship defense.
