"I lost some rhythm when we hit
lapped riders, and the track went
away a lot—the sections I was
doing in the first 10 minutes were
completely different from what I
was doing in the last 10 minutes,
which was gnarly."

"It was a hectic couple of laps
from there with a lot of passes. I
even got in the lead at one stage,
and it was nice to be up there and
