Gutierrez fought his way to the front in a tense contest to take the win after a hard battle with Granado and McDonald. McDonald ini- tially crossed the line as runner- up but was later dropped to third in the final classification after being penalized for incorrectly completing a long-lap penalty. McDonald leads the points on 41 from Gutierrez and Lewis, who are tied on 33. MOTOAMERICA TALENT CUP The opening round of the 2026 MotoAmerica Talent Cup at Circuit of the Americas deliv- take race one and Oscar Gutier- rez (Niti Racing) triumph in race two. Australian McDonald and teammate Eric Granado (Joe Rascal Racing) quickly estab- lished control at the front and steadily built a gap, with Gra- nado dropping the Harley after taking the lead at turn one at three-quarters race distance. That opened the door for Pini and Quiles, who capital- ized immediately. In the sprint to the line, Pini narrowly secured victory, with Quiles second and Carpe holding on for third. Per- rone was left fourth. Fernandez completed the top five, with Adrian Cruces (CIP Green Power) leading a tight battle for sixth ahead of Rico Salmela (Red Bull KTM Tech3). Quiles leads the points on 65 to Carpe's 42 and Perrone's 38.
