CHAMPIONSHIP
VOLUME 63 ISSUE 13 MARCH 31, 2026 P73
450SX
Right when we thought Ken
Roczen was out of this, things
quickly swung back in his favor.
The Progressive Suzuki rider
showed his signature sprint
speed and quickly moved into
the lead early in the 450 main
event. Roczen made it look easy
and tried to sprint away, but
pressure mounted from the re
-
turning Chase Sexton and Hunt-
er Lawrence, who stalked him.
The number 94
continued to
lead as Lawrence cartwheeled
through the whoops and threw
away his chance at the win. As
Roczen rode away from the field
in first, his other championship
rival, Eli Tomac, continued to
drop in the standings. The Ger
-
man native capitalized big time
on
the night, dominating the
main event and scoring maxi-
mum points while the other two
contenders
fumbled. He earned
his second win of the season
and the 25th of his career. This
also marks the first time in five
seasons that Roczen has earned
more than one victory. He's now
just 14 points out of the champi
-
onship lead.
"This
was a tough main
event," Roczen said. "I was
definitely not the fastest in
the beginning. I was playing a
little bit with the track. I knew
they were gaining on me, so
I switched up my rhythms
slightly. It was tough, because
I wasn't necessarily lighting the
world on fire, but the track was
so tough. The whoops were a
50-50 chance you were going
to make it through or end up on
race that we do. The night show was
not exactly what I wanted, but I was
happy with the riding."
58 DAXTON BENNICK
6TH 250SX
Daxton Bennick took his second sixth
place in a row. "It was a rough day, all
day, honestly," Bennick said. "I didn't
really ride like myself and didn't do any-
thing great, so [I] was never really able
to turn it around. I was just off all day,
but we'll go back to work this week. It
was frustrating, although we've had re-
ally good rides so far this year because
my speed is good and so is my training,
so we'll get back to how I know I can
ride and we should be fine."
MYOWNRACE
14 DYLAN FERRANDIS
7TH 450SX
Dylan Ferrandis returned to action
and earned his best result of the year.
"I got a good start, but I was lacking
a little bit of pace for sure," Ferrandis
said. "I can do better than what I did
tonight, but I need to get back into that
racing mode a little more. Overall, I
think it's the best I could have done to-
day with a seventh. I showed that dur-
ing my time off, I didn't just chill; I was
pushing and training. So I'm happy
about that and happy for the team."
