Rackley Racing KTM's Davis Fisher
put on an impressive charge but
couldn't quite claim a spot on the box
after duking it out with RWR Harley's
Briar Bauman. "We put on a shock
we hadn't run all year, and I wasn't
sure what it was going to do," Bau-
man said. "I went out for the warmup
lap and was like, 'Okay, we've got
something that's better than what we
had.' I started, probably in seventh,
and decided to try the high line. I
didn't know if it was any faster, but
I felt like I was inching up a little bit.
I marched my way up, and the next
thing I know, I caught Briar for third. I
went to pass him, and he knew I was
there and kept going up the track. So,
I lost a couple bikelengths there. I
came back to him but just didn't have
enough time to pass him and had to
accept fourth."
